PUYALLUP: Recognize true cost of school bond measure

I am not saying you should vote for or against the Puyallup School District bond measure that will be on the ballot in November. I do think everyone deserves to know the true cost of this proposed bond.

The bond will not have a cost of $.02-$.05 per $1,000 of assessed property value. It will have a cost of $.02-$.05 per $1,000 for five years, until the Capital Improvements and Technology Upgrades Levy that was passed last year expires. Then it will cost you $.62 to $.65 per $1,000 for the next 15 years.

Vote your conscience, but do it while knowing what it is going to cost.
