AIR: Why the focus on uncertified woodstoves?

Re: “This fall, let’s clear the air by retiring woodstoves” (Viewpoint, 9-27).

The Pierce County brain trust has finally targeted the No. 1 menace to society. I’m referring too, of course, the dreaded, uncertified home woodstove.

That’s sure a relief. Not one word, though, about the millions of gallons of jet fuel that are dumped into the environment all day every day. I guess this environmental thing isn’t that important after all, is it?
