My wife and I have known Garth Jackson for over 35 years. Our children grew up together. Garth has always been a great parent, active in his church, a Boy Scout leader, worked as an engineer with Tacoma Power successfully re-licensing hydro facilities providing electrical power for Tacoma, taught math sciences at Bellarmine and elsewhere after retiring from Tacoma Power, and built, with his own hands, the homes he has lived in in Gig Harbor.
Garth is a man of strong moral character and high integrity who is not afraid to accept responsibility and hard work. His life experiences and years in the classroom as a teacher give him unique qualities that would certainly help the Peninsula School District Board of Directors to improve the quality of education for all the school children, teachers and supporting staff of that district.
