POLITICS: Website of value to voters

Are you concerned that candidates for public office are quick to advertise their favorite causes, but that we voters are rarely asked what our concerns are? How can those candidates, if elected, possibly know how to make laws that will address those concerns if they don’t know them?

There is a website that examined this problem and came up with ideas for what we can do about it.

The spark behind this website is a dauntless woman named Deb Blakeslee. Completely on her own and owing nothing to anybody, she doorbelled and telephoned well over 1,000 of her fellow community members to determine what their experiences had been in trying to make contact with the candidates they were considering voting for.

Check out the website. I find her actions a splendid example of how democracy can work.
