Lakewood: Writer's wrong about this diverse city

Re: “Why allow biased businesses in?” (letter, 11-13).

How disrespectful of the letter writer, who resides in Fircrest, to slam the City of Lakewood.

She not only criticizes the fine citizens of Lakewood, she also attacks our business community as being biased. Her offensive remarks also include references to unsightly, sprawling shopping areas.

I have lived in Lakewood for 60 years and have, like so many thousands who live here, raised a family, supported the military, and supported large and small businesses here and, may I add, in Fircrest.

Lakewood is a beautiful and great place to live, and even though time and economics can change a city, Lakewood continues to thrive and grow and is one of many diverse cities in the nation.
