Auditor: Take action to remove Troy Kelley

Re: Troy Kelley should resign or be removed as auditor” (Viewpoint, 11-23).

I really appreciated reading former auditor Brian Sonntag’s Vewpoint. It is shameful that Kelley has abandoned the state auditor’s office and nothing is being done about it.

Since Kelley selfishly refuses to step down, Gov. Jay Inslee should set aside his political preferences and start the process of removing him. And if Inslee won’t do it, someone in the Legislature should step up.

By acting as if there is nothing wrong with leaving the state auditor’s office empty, it speaks to the apathy that affects the public when it comes time to vote.
