Tacoma: Dirty diapers worse than plastic bags

Re: “Tacoma might restrict plastic shopping bags” (TNT, 12-15).

Yes, plastic bags can cause problems to some animals, and yes they can be an eyesore.

But what about feces-filled diapers that are dropped in parking lots and in other publlc places and along the roads? They are a danger to animals and people, are unsightly and take up more room in the landfill areas than plastic bags.

Nearly all stores have a place to recycle plastic bags. I know of no place to recycle a feces-filled diaper.
