Law: Justice denied in 'affluenza' debacle

So Ethan Couch, the drunk-driving teen in the “affluenza” case who killed four people and was slapped on the wrist is breaking the law again and is on the lam (TNT, 12-19).

I am shocked, dumbfounded and speechless! What kind of legal system do we have in this country? It can’t be one that favors the rich, can it?

What would have happened to an inner-city kid whose family was on public assistance? Would his lawyer get away with claiming drunk driving due to abject poverty? I think not.

Bottom line: There’s a lot of enabling going on here.
