Children: President's concern is misplaced
During the recent White House press conference on more gun controls, President Obama stated: “Every time I think about those kids that were killed by guns, it gets me mad,” he said, wiping a tear from his eye. “And, by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day.”
I do not question President Obama’s emotions about the death of these children, but I do question why he is only concerned about children’s deaths that are contributed to guns. The most recent statistics on gun-related deaths and injuries among children is 3,000 and 7,000, respectively.
If Obama is truly being honest with himself about his concern for children, why is he not showing his emotional distress and sorrow for the one million children murdered by abortion annually?
It is obvious, from his double standard on life, that this is all about politics and supporting the liberal ideology. If this were not the situation, then Obama would be:
▪ Condemning the murder of children by abortion.
▪ Advocating for making abortions illegal except for vital health situations.
With these double standards in politics and personal convictions, no one should be surprised why the United States is so divided today.
