Children: Writer clueless on abortion issue

Re: “President’s concern is misplaced” (letter, 1-22).

The writer chides President Obama regarding his emotional response to children killed by guns while ignoring “children” killed by abortions.

Children are certainly not killed by abortions. Even babies are not killed by abortions. Unwanted pregnancies are terminated by abortions.

Fetuses are terminated by abortions; embryos are terminated by abortions. At those two stages they are not even potential people yet, not until they can survive on their own outside of the woman’s womb.

Why someone would even compare abortion to guns killing people, is beyond me. The monsters killing children and adults in schools, theaters or colleges with military-style weapons are turning them into human hamburger. Can you even imagine what that looked like, what the president saw in those pictures?

Please quit trying to take women’s rights regarding their own bodies away from them.
