Peninsula: School district needs levy funding
It’s time to stand up against those who fail to speak the truth and who bully people about our schools using the print media.
We are about to vote on a levy that is very much needed to help the district’s budget where the state doesn’t. We are voting on a a replacement levy. Our present levy expires in 2017, and where it stops the new one, if approved, starts.
Our school board works hard to be fiscally sound and to do what’s right for our children.
There is full disclosure on how the levy funds are to be spent on the school district’s web site. The levy spending plan is well thought out, benefits our children and moves in a direction that maintains our facilities.
Allow the school board the courtesy and the money to run our schools. The Peninsula School District has excellent leadership in place, fabulous staff and wonderful children who attend our schools.
We need a “yes” vote on this levy issue. Our children deserve it.
