Crime: Killers don't deserve to be released
Re: “Barry Massey, who killed marina owner, leaves prison” (TNT, 2-17).
Even though the murder took place decades ago, I and many others who were here at the time remember this crime well because it was so cold-blooded. Barry Massey and Michael Harris killed Paul Wang for some money and candy.
Does it make a difference that they were 13 and 15 years of age at the time? I believe that they were and are responsible for their decisions and actions at the time.
I believe children are to be loved and protected at all times. They have to be taught to be responsible and that there are consequences for making poor decisions especially, when these decisions are momentous and even life-changing.
The murder of Wang was brutal and unconscionable. Massey and Harris should not be released. The parents or adults in their lives should have been scrutinized as well at the time for their part in the murder.
