Transit: Sounder garage in Puyallup too costly

Re: “Puyallup station subject of Sound Transit meeting” (TNT, 2-20).

Is $55 million too much for a 500-space parking garage in downtown Puyallup? It will be built by Sound Transit at more than $100,000 per space.

If this were a real business, the rent should be more than $20 per day for each parking spot. I doubt Sound Transit will be charging for parking.

It is far better to get off the system and live close to work. A person can walk one mile or bike three miles to get to work. It is much better for you, the environment and your collective pocketbook.
