Election: System rigged to pick Hillary Clinton

Re: “Sanders hits a roadblock in bid for White House” (TNT, 2-25).

New York Times columnist Charles M. Blow certainly blows Hillary Clinton’s win in Nevada out of proportion.

It’s true that she gathered 53 percent of the caucus vote, but that was out of approximately 80,000 voters. I don’t know how he makes the claim that the loss by less than 5,000 votes constitutes a “very real weakness” for Bernie Sanders’ campaign.

Unfortunately, I have to agree that Clinton will win the nomination, but that is because the process is rigged; the “superdelegates” and party leaders have planned for her to run as the Democratic candidate for more than eight years and it’s her “turn.”

The will of the voters is meaningless, as we have seen in the award of delegates from the results of the past three contests.

Why not wait to see how the rest of the country - including Washington state - votes instead of coming up with questionable math to prop up the presumptive candidate?
