Election: Trump plays fast and loose with the truth
Donald Trump is racking up a lot of wins, however his style is somewhat questionable.
For example, Pulitzer Prize-winning news sites and fact checkers have awarded him “King of Whoppers,” “Pants on Fire” and the ultimate “Pinocchio Trophy” (TNT, 2-27).
Despite Trump’s penchant for stretching the truth and confusing fact with fiction, a large and growing number of evangelicals continue to support him. Don’t they also claim to be followers of Christ? Didn’t he say he came to Earth to bear witness to the truth, and that the truth would set us free?
So what choice will the evangelicals make in the end: the one who emphasized the truth and paid the ultimate price for doing so, or the guy who wouldn’t recognize the truth if it jumped up and bit him?
