Refugees: Syrians deserve our support

I am ashamed of my fellow conservatives. According to CNN, Donald Trump is completely against the protection and settlement of refugees and proposes a solution that involves kicking out all of the Syrians, regardless of religion.

These refugees are fleeing a war zone. Syrian refugees need to have more support and donations so that they can thrive and lead a better life here in the U.S.

On the Statue of Liberty are these words: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

If we deny access and support to these helpless refugees, we are not fulfilling the American dream. These are important conservative values.
