JBLM: Don't let complaints stop rocket tests

Re: “Army puts off rocket test” (TNT, 3-15).

The outpouring of people complaining about the noise we may endure from rocket testing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord is appalling. This is just one more opportunity to complain about the military bases.

Last time I checked, wars are not fought from 9 to 5. Because we train our military to defend our country, we are all still here living our lives. Is it really asking too much to let them train, let them learn and allow them to continue protecting this nation?

If this is such a disruptive place to live, perhaps some additional research should have been conducted prior to moving here. I have lived here all my life and find great solace with the “noise” from the military bases.

Blast away, JBLM!
