UPlace: City needs a metro parks district

I’m writing in support of the proposed University Place Metropolitan Parks District.

Having lived in University Place for 43 years, I relied on the recreation programs for my son and daughter and now rely on the use of the parks for entertaining my grandchildren.

Although retired and living on a fixed income, I feel the assessment to pay for the park district will be well worth it.

Programs for youth and seniors will build a sense of community among families and neighbors, a vital component of any city. So please vote yes on April 26 for a UPlace Metropolitan Parks District.
