Methanol: Is mayor hearing her constituents?
Marilyn Strickland serves as mayor of the city that is the lead agency on the environmental impact study of the proposed methanol plant on our Tideflats.
Now she is featured in a slick, widely distributed Northwest Innovation Works propaganda video promoting the project. The video comes to light on the heels of her recent directive to our City Council members that they express no bias about the project.
In letter after letter, testimony after testimony, protest after protest, Tacoma citizens are expressing their lack of faith in our leadership and our desire to hold our ground. We do not want this methanol plant corrupting our city.
