Election: Voters deserve better than Cruz, Trump

I just finished reading about Ted Cruz’s latest news conference regarding a story in the National Enquirer alleging accusations of infidelity, and about Cruz’s denial and blame of Donald Trump for launching a smear campaign against him.

Is this really what the Republican Party has become? Are these candidates really the best the GOP has to offer? Do these two gentlemen exhibit the qualities most Republican voters want in their president?

What does the rest of the world think of us? How can we expect their respect and cooperation when they hear this kind of vileness coming from two candidates aspiring to the highest office in our country?
