Election: GOP's following a predictable script
I have just been waiting for Mark Burnett to start running teaser scenes for Donald Trump’s next remark. I would say it will go down like this:
The Republicans know that Trump will lose badly to either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders because Trump cannot make it on the angry white guy vote alone. His endorsement by Ben Carson and Chris Christie are of little help (if any).
If Trump wins the nomination and loses the election, it will set back the Republican Party at least eight to 10 years. The convention delegates will realize this and will not nominate Trump. Trump, in an effort to keep his army of darkness from rioting and burning down the house, will fall on his sword and play the martyr, claiming that it is the best way to keep Hillary out of the White House.
He will concede his campaign and pledge his support to John Kasich. Since Kasich is the only one who actually stands a chance of beating Hillary or Bernie, he will be the nominee. Why do you think he hasn’t dropped out yet?
There is a script somewhere buried in here. You’ve just got to wonder, who is in on it?
