UPlace: Park district enhances quality of life
With one community center for University Place seniors and popular sport programs for the youth, why would anyone want to eliminate these worthy activities which enrich the entire community?
A metropolitan park cistrict would be funded separately and independently of the city. The additional property tax is very minimal, and the returns would be a desirable place to live and an increase of property value.
I urge the good people of University Place to vote yes for the young people, for seniors and for the future of the community.
