Lindquist: Ethics decision reeks of bad old days
Re: “New statement too late for Lindquist ethics case” (TNT, 4-3).
You’ve got to be kidding. Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist can accept hundreds of thousands of dollars of free legal services from a county contractor and there’s no ethics violation? What kind of alternate universe does Pierce County inhabit?
Welcome to the 1970s, when organized crime was supported by the Pierce County sheriff, and Pierce County road crews would happily pave the driveways of county commissioners at taxpayer expense.
It is the aroma from this kind of conduct, not from our industrial port, that holds us back in the eyes of the rest of the state.
