Walmart: Disservice done to local businesses

Re: “Ways you can save money at Walmart” (TNT, 4-15).

It’s shocking that you would provide Walmart with free advertising in this article. Walmart has damaged small towns across America, destroying local businesses, then eventually leaving many of those same towns with no place to shop and fewer jobs after it’s made its money.

Reprinting this article is an insult and a disservice to other Pierce County retailers who are invested in their local communities for the long haul by providing services and jobs and supporting activities, schools, students and families.

Would you offer the same free advertising to all other Pierce County businesses? Where’s your integrity?
