Methanol: Analysis should have been done

I am in hearty agreement with the methanol debacle editorial (TNT, 4-21).

I’m one of the frustrated believers in the lawful, thorough environmental analysis process that had begun. If it had run its course, we would have learned much about what it would take for significant industrial development on the Kaiser site and had the knowledge to judge whether the methanol project should go ahead.

The three commitments - strong industrial economy, healthy environment and decision-making based on through reviews and solid science with respect for each other - are vital for Tacoma’s progress.
