Consumers: The case of the vanishing toilet paper

I am a consumer who needs and buys toilet paper, just like everybody else. It’s a hygiene product that we all need and use, and the manufacturers know this.

But lately I’ve come to the end of my rope with them giving us less and less product, and it’s really burning my buns - no pun intended.

It all started with fewer sheets of paper per roll, then making the cardboard tube wider, then making the sheets thinner, then making the cardboard tube shorter along with smaller sheets of paper. One can hear the grumbles of shoppers in the paper products aisle complaining about the high prices, as well.

What’s next? Three-ply toilet paper?

We consumers need to let the manufacturers know that their little game is nothing more than corporate greed. It’s time everybody got off the pot and took a stand. Let the manufacturers know that we want toilet paper back that doesn’t run out in two days and doesn’t drain our pocketbooks!
