University Place: Lights on but nobody's home

The University Place City Council on May 2 approved spending $200,000 on lighting for the Cirque Park ball field.

This is after they cut funding for the recreation programs because they didn’t have enough money to fund them. (Yes, those programs that would have played under those lights.)

Citizens need to be aware how this council is operating the city, and the council needs to reinstate funding for senior and recreation programs.
