Free Speech: Coach's Trump endorsement was wrong

Re: “Should it bother us if Cougars coach Leach is stumping for Trump?” (TNT, 5/10).

Yes, and here’s why. Leach can endorse anyone he wants. Leach and Trump’s “brands” are identical: good ol’ boys who like to bully, break heads by intimidation to get what they want. It’s not about making America great because if it was, they’d both figure out a way to inspire all of the folks here to pull together. But they love to scapegoat and lead by intimidation.

History teaches what happens when you scapegoat groups of people, and it ain’t pretty. It should bother us. It bothered me so much that I am pulling the scholarship I funded at Washington State University, and I encourage other readers to stop contributing to WSU until the school figures out that those of us who resist race-baiting thugs have free speech rights, too. In my opinion, WSU has sold its soul for a winning football season and lost the real game.
