Bathrooms: Petitioners for Initiative 1515 are deceiving

Yesterday when I went to the Pierce County Auditor’s Office, I was very disappointed when I was approached outside by a young woman asking me to sign a petition “to keep men out of women’s bathrooms.” I asked if she meant transgender people, and after hesitating she said, “yes, men.”

What disappoints me is how misleading this presentation of the issue is. I suspect her homophobia indoctrination has blinded her to how discriminatory, rude and insensitive it is to even present the question that way. They should go back and look more closely at their own morality and not bother the rest of us with petty bigotry.
