Homeless: Center should account for dirty clothes
There is a problem with the clothing program at New Hope Resource Center in Puyallup that is affecting personal and public property. They give out clean clothes to the homeless guests, which are taken and changed into, and unfortunately a great deal of the dirty clothes are then left behind in areas like the Puyallup River Walk trail. Literally piles of dirty clothes have been found a regular basis.
There are plans to remodel the building, which includes laundry and shower facilities. Those projects are not yet complete. New Hope also should provide accountability for the dirty clothes, before passing out the new clean ones. Please help keep our public places clean and beautiful for everyone.
