Election: Why vote in predetermined primary?
The fact that voters “aren’t rushing to cast votes” in the state primary (TNT, 5/19) should not come as a surprise to anyone with half a brain. The Democrats already allotted a few delegates based on the caucus held in March, although Democratic Party superdelegates were predetermined before caucus goers ever had the opportunity to weigh in.
On the Republican side, the GOP convention was held this week - before the primary - so what does that say about delegate selection? Although party Chairwoman Susan Hutchinson insists that voters matter, it seems apparent that the GOP delegates are also predetermined. The presidential primary is a rigged affair - on both sides of the aisle.
