Hats off to coach Duane Lee and his Lincoln High School track team for adding another state title and the accompanying hardware to the school’s trophy case (TNT, 5/29).
For a school faced with many social and economic challenges, this is a well-deserved boost to civic pride.
More importantly, this is not all Lincoln has to offer. Thanks to principal Pat Erwin and his staff, the Abes made the 2016 Washington Post list of schools in America with the most challenging courses. Kudos to all involved for exhibiting excellence in both athletics and academics.
