Election: Congress will block presidential delusions

Apparently Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, as well as a significant portion of American citizens, are laboring under a misconception of the duties and responsibilities of the U.S. president.

Our Constitution was designed and constructed to prevent any one person from doing all the things being claimed, or blamed, by the candidates. Nothing can be done without the support of a currently dysfunctional group of power elitists who are isolated from the daily life of the average American citizen. Yet these persons (also known as Congress) still claim to know what is best for the rest of us as long as it conforms with their party platform.

These persons are so enamored with the perceived power of one party over the other that it is a wonder anything gets done.

Yet this misconception that a president can do all the things persists? Very interesting.
