Hate speech: Today's young adults react like babies
When I was young, almost everyone’s dad had served in World War II. Many of those men were in their late teens or early 20s when they served, about the same age as a college student. These men seldom talked or complained about the war and the hardships they endured.
It flabbergasts me that today’s college students are a joke in comparison to their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. For example, students at Emory University were upset that someone had written “Trump 2016” in chalk on one of the university’s sidewalks. They demanded counseling and protection from such “hate “ speech.
These “children” aren't attending university – they’re attending advanced kindergarten. They are not getting a well-rounded education – they’re getting progressive leftist, lunatic-fringe programming. Once they complete their “degrees” in irrelevant “fuzzy” studies, they will be ill suited for any position in our economy. Their next step will be entering an adult day care center where they can be protected from the real world, a place where warm milk and cookies and cuddly teddy bears will be available to soothe their anger when they are triggered by real free speech.
Time for this political correctness silliness to end.
