Bathrooms: Sorry, gender is not a “spectrum”

Re: “Transgender issue under discussion,” (TNT, 6/18).

The world is coming to an end, and I’m not saying this frivolously. The problem seems to be that the male-female quotas at the state Democratic convention exclude people who don’t identify as either. One delegate, Jonathan Long, says “Sometimes you have to educate the membership. People don’t understand that gender isn’t an either-or concept. Gender is a spectrum.”

I would suggest that the next time Mr. Long or anyone else takes a shower, all they have to do is look down to see their spectrum. Their true identity. The fact is that no surgery or endeavor of science will change a male to female or vice versa. Laws are made to protect people and to provide a stable society. Laws that directly oppose one another, such as human rights laws and laws governing religious freedom and free speech, create a very threatening condition.

The martyrs of Orlando have advanced the LGBT agenda, but our society is becoming certainly more divided on these issues and ultimately more dangerous.
