Geoducks: Industrial, residential uses not compatible

Re: "Neighbors appeal clam ruling," (TNT, 6/22).

When this same issue arose in Pierce County several years ago, then-Councilman Terry Lee hit the nail on the head when he asserted that folks in a residential zone should not have to endure industrial uses in their front yards.

Geoduck farming is an industrial use. It should no more be allowed in residential tidelands than a gas station should be allowed in my residential front yard. Mr. Sohn should not be allowed to supplement his income at his neighbors' expense.
