Abortion: Sex-selective procedure is true misogyny

Re: “O’Ban doesn’t stand with women,” (TNT Letters, 6/8).

I hope those of you who are pro-choice can take a step back and see that the intent of the bill banning sex-selective abortions is to save women by allowing them to come into the world in the first place.

Even if you accept abortion in general and don’t think it takes a life, the practice of sex-selective abortion still intentionally prevents women from entering the world. No matter which cultures do or do not participate in the practice, when it occurs it is discrimination against women and should be banned.

It’s very sad that we can’t see the true misogyny right in front of our eyes: I believe aborting baby girls still in the womb specifically because they are female is the height of misogyny.
