Trump: Other politicians had careers derailed for less than this
A Dixie Chicks song came on my iPod today and I was reminded of how much trouble they got into in 2013 for Natalie Main’s comment against President Bush being from their own state. And in the 2004 election John Kerry’s candidacy took a huge hit when he was labeled a flip flopper for his comments about funding the Iraq war. And let’s not forget the famous Howard Dean scream, which pretty much derailed him in just those few seconds.
Now we have Donald Trump spewing far more than the Dixie Chicks, flip flopping in bigger ways than Kerry, and exhibiting far worse than the positive rallying cry of Dean.
Today Trump is in the news speaking in Scotland about favoring the UK voting to get out of the European Union when Scotland overwhelming voted to stay in. He then has the audacity to talk about how he will personally benefit, as the stock market drops and 401ks all over the country take a hit.
How is Trump still here? He is like that “rebel without a clue” in the song by Tom Petty.
