Opinion: Less of it in Sunday paper unfortunate

For several weeks I’ve noticed the elimination of the second Sunday opinion page. I’ll miss the largely liberal opinions. Although I disagreed with many of them, they provided interesting reading during my leisurely Sunday.

So the TNT has turned a cost item (opinion writing) into an income item (advertising). This may make business sense for McClatchy in the short run but when combined with a steep price increase, it can’t be seen to increase subscriptions. Will anyone wonder when the TNT eliminates the printed edition entirely?
