Racism: White people at a loss to explain it
Re: “What we’ll tell our daughter about this week’s tragedies in America,” (TNT, 7/10).
In his commentary, Matt Driscoll struggles how he will explain racism to his white daughter. Relax, Matt. You’re not qualified for that job. (No white person is.)
Just give her some speeches from our post-racial president. She’ll soon learn that America’s racism is “systemic” and that white people carry a racist gene (discovered by Al Sharpton). And at meal time tell her not to give thanks for all the blessings she got from her white privilege, then cap it off with a ticket to a Beyoncé concert.
That should seal the case against America.
