Turkey: Remove U.S. nukes from country

It is time to get the U.S. nuclear weapons out of Incirlik Air Base in Turkey. The attempted coup against Turkey’s increasingly autocratic President Recep Erdogan, the turmoil as Erdogan’s army continues to persecute Turkish Kurds, and the continuous Syrian unrest under the conflicting forces of the Syrian dictator, his Russian supporters, ISIS, Syrian rebels and other assorted armed forces -- all these things add up to a tremendously dangerous part of the world.

The U.S. has up to 80 nuclear weapons at Incirlik. It’s time to get them out. One old-fashioned atomic bomb destroyed killed 150,000 people in Hiroshima, out of about 350,000 residents. Keeping such deadly weapons in the war zone that now comprises most of the Middle East is insane policy
