Election: Christopher would make a committed judge

I serve on the board of Palmer Scholars with Dwayne Christopher, a candidate for Superior Court Position 8. He’s a real contributor on that board, serving on the executive committee and and as a student mentor. He even attended the recent board meeting during campaign season. That shows real commitment.

Now a practicing attorney, Christopher assisted Judge Brian Tollefson for nine years, studying the varied cases that come before Superior Court.

Beyond his qualifications for the job, I believe it’s important to note that Christopher is African American. On the present court only two judges are people of color. We need Christopher on the court so it can move toward mirroring the diversity in the population of Pierce County.
