Olympics: Open letter to embattled swimmer
Dear Ryan Lochte: Like you, I am not Brazilian; I am an American. And I am wondering, do you recall that bit about representing everyone here in the states while you are competing abroad?
Swimmer, if I was Brazilian I may well be inclined to offer you this sentiment on behalf of my fellow countrymen:
’You say your life is full of “dids,”
We say it’s full of “didn’ts.”
It’s good to say, in our good way,
“Good-bye, good luck, good riddance!”’
Lochte, you should go back to Rio, make reparations and apologize for your behavior. You still have a great opportunity to make us proud of you.
