Education: Charter schools are a ploy of the wealthy
Re: “Charters under siege,” (TNT editorial, 8/30).
Maybe some black and or poor white children are being served by charter schools. But how about those they can’t or don’t serve? Money should never be taken from public schools.
I for one don’t want my tax money sent to a non-public educational institution. The well-to-do can deduct their private school expenses on their taxes. I am getting tired of the better off damaging the low-income citizen. Charters are just a ploy to destroy the New Deal by the monied interests.
Charters by their nature do not serve the nation.
