Police: Report positive work by Tacoma officers
On Aug. 26, Q13 News reported on a Tacoma police officer who is doing his best to better the community he lives in, starting by spending as much time as possible with youth at a local boys/girls center. If he isn’t helping with homework, he is playing some sort of sport with a group of kids. It was apparent through the video how much the kids interacted with him; one teen was seen following him down the court, and giving him a hug.
I know of several other officers who are doing the same things. Why is it that The News Tribune can only publish negative information on our department? Is this how we build bridges? I think not. It does nothing to promote goodwill between our department and community.
