Mosquitoes may prefer biting people with certain viruses, new study finds. Here is why
Researchers at the University of Connecticut may have learned which people mosquitoes prefer to bite.
The study shows that mosquitoes may prefer to bite people who have previously had mosquito-related viruses such as Zika virus or dengue.
Those viruses appear to change how a person smells, making them more likely to attract mosquitoes.
This video shared by FOX 13 Seattle takes a look at the study and what researchers plan to do with the results.
