Groomer starts work at Paradise
There has been no official word from staff at Mount Rainier National Park, but a webcam showed the park’s groomer starting to work Tuesday afternoon on trails at Paradise.
Road crews earlier in the day were able to finally clear the road to Paradise and the parking lot there.
Once the trails have been groomed, the machine will begin work on cutting the runs at the snowplay area.
There is an estimated 120 inches of snow on the ground at Paradise, according to data from a weather station there.
We’ll keep readers posted on when the snowplay area might open.
