There is movement by both the public and potentially the NBA in further immortalizing Kobe Bryant.

Thanks to social media, there are now over 2.1 million signatures from the public to have the NBA replace Jerry West with Bryant as the NBA’s logo.

The iconic NBA logo has been in use since 1971 but was given a slight alteration in 2017.

Here are some of the different variations of that logo.

The Dallas Mavericks have announced that they will retire both the number 8 and 24.

On Tuesday night, the Lakers-Clippers game has been canceled but the NBA on TNT will honor the career of Bryant in a special live from Staples Center.
