In 2018, LeBron James founded the I Promise School in Akron, OH and it has quickly become one of the larger feathers in the cap of his already iconic career.

That constant involvement with the school and the continuation of this success story has spawned a two-book deal with HarperCollins books. The first book, “I Promise” is scheduled for release on August 11, 2020.

“Books have the ability to teach, inspire, and bring people together. That’s why these books, and the opportunity to get children and parents reading together, mean so much to me,” James said in a press release.

The Lakers forward and future hall of famer has an ongoing list of future projects that also includes the much publicized “Space Jam 2”, coming in summer of 2021.
