How to get your Masters fix on a Masters-less Sunday: Classic rounds, iconic movies to help you out.
April has been a special time of year for the sport of golf. It’s very rare that the sports world has its focus on a golf tournament, but this is no ordinary golf tournament.
The Masters has been played 83 times over an 86-year span. There have been only just three years where the tournament has not taken place, three of those years were due to World War 2 (1943-1945). The 2020 Masters could potentially join that grouping as it has been moved from the traditional April date to early November if everything is cleared up by then.
While we do not know what the future holds for this tournament in 2020, the sports and golfing community is going to feel a little empty this Sunday. Don’t worry, I got your hookup.
Final Round coverage for 50 Masters Tournaments
Sunday at Augusta National is one of the more iconic days in all of sports. So why not spend the next few days watching history unfold a second, or even third time. The Masters YouTube channel has every televised final round of the tournament from 1968-2018. From Palmer to Nickalus, to Tiger, Phil and Sergio. A nice way to re-live some history and watch a classic final round on Sunday afternoon.
Watch Tiger’s 2019 win
I’d venture to say since 1986, The Masters hadn’t seen such a dramatic and surprising victory like Tiger Woods win in 2019. If CBS doesn’t play the final round of Sunday’s Masters, you can watch clips of it on YouTube.
Take in a classic golf movie
Don’t wanna watch any Masters coverage? Then take in a classic gold movie, you’ve got plenty to choose from. Tin Cup, Happy Gilmore, The Greatest Game Ever Played and of course, the greatest golf movie ever...Caddyshack.
